You may have noticed some recent busy periods, during which, the site won't be available.

Whilst I understand that this can be irritating, it will only be a temporary situation, while we work on other means to reduce the board's requirements.

This will probably involve some extensive pruning of posts, and the disabling of a number of board features (you may or may not have noticed that the search system is currently not activedue to its considerable resource requirements).

eMax will, in a few weeks be getting a new server, onto which we will be moved, this should also help lighten the load.

It seems, we have lost <s>one of the skins, Bohegeha.</s> all of the skins other then the default IPB.

By disallowing custom skins, we lighten the load a little, and every little helps.

Some of the past archives have been removed to lighten the load, you may notice something like offtopic only has two pages.

They prune was done by iridium, I think.

oh yeah, forgot to mention it...

We deleted all topics older than 60 days from off-topic and neopets boards. This made our db size go from aproximately 100mb to 50mb.
